Dan Innis was born in Columbus, Ohio, and lives in Bradford, New Hampshire. Innis earned a B.B.A. from Ohio University in 1985, an M.B.A. from Miami University (Ohio) in 1986, and a Ph.D. in marketing from Ohio State University in 1991. His career experience includes co-founding The Hotel Portsmouth and the Ale House Inn and working as a professor of marketing and hospitality management from the University of New Hampshire, the dean of the University of Maine College of Business, Public Policy, and Health, and the dean of the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and Economics.
