Michael Scanlon

Michael Scanlon (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Colorado. He will not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on June 30, 2026.

  • Michael is best known as the founder of “Climate Con,” an annual climate action conference.
    Served as an organizer for Citizens’ Climate Lobby and as a spokesperson for youth climate strikes in Colorado.
    Scanlon has a background in tech – he worked in software development and used that expertise to launch a climate data initiative.
    Prior to the Senate race, Michael briefly filed to run for a seat in the Colorado State House (HD-32), focusing on climate and tech issues.
